The name Symbatek is rooted in purpose. It combines simba — the Swahili word for lion, symbolizing strength, courage, and leadership — with tek, short for technology. It reflects who we are: a firm that leads with strength of principle, not strength of sales pitch.
Symbatek LLC was founded by Kendrick Wright, a U.S. Army veteran and enterprise cloud and AI architect with more than 25 years of experience building production systems in some of the most demanding compliance environments in the world — federal agencies, state law enforcement, federal tax, healthcare, and regulated commercial enterprises.
After years of watching large consulting firms over-promise and under-deliver on AI and cloud modernization — prioritizing tool partnerships over governance and speed over defensibility — Kendrick built Symbatek to be different. Governance-first. Practitioner-led. Built for the long term.

Kendrick Wright is a U.S. Army veteran, enterprise cloud architect, and AI governance practitioner with more than 25 years of experience delivering large-scale technology programs for federal agencies, state government, and Fortune 500 enterprises.
His production experience spans FedRAMP High, CJIS, HIPAA, and DoD environments. He has served as Principal AI/ML Cloud Architect at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Chief Architect on a multi-agency modernization program through Unisys, and AI governance advisor to IHG Hotels & Resorts — one of the world's largest hospitality enterprises.
Kendrick founded Symbatek to bring practitioner-grade AI governance and secure cloud architecture to organizations that need it most — those operating under serious compliance obligations, where the cost of getting AI wrong is not just financial.
