Kendrick W. Wright
Founder & CEO — Enterprise AI, Cloud Architecture, and Transformation Consulting
Kendrick Wright is a technology executive, enterprise architect, and AI governance practitioner with more than 25 years of experience designing, securing, and governing complex technology systems across the federal government, state agencies, healthcare, financial services, and global commercial enterprise.
As Founder and CEO of Symbatek LLC, Kendrick advises executive teams on AI strategy, governance, and secure cloud-native implementation. His current client work includes serving as Enterprise Agentic AI Security & Governance Advisor for a global hospitality enterprise operating more than 6,000 properties worldwide, helping establish the guardrails, control frameworks, and governance architecture required for safe, scalable autonomous AI adoption.
Kendrick currently serves as Principal Cloud and AI Architect for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he leads AI, machine learning, and data analytics architecture for the VA Research and Analytics Scientific Platform across AWS and Azure. In this role he drives MLOps adoption, directs modernization strategy for more than 3,500 applications, and shapes the operating model for large-scale digital transformation in FedRAMP High and DoD-compliant environments.
Prior to his VA and Symbatek work, Kendrick served as Chief Cloud Architect for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, where he led the secure Azure Government Cloud transformation of one of the country's most compliance-critical law enforcement agencies, establishing governance and control frameworks aligned to CJIS, NIST 800-53, and zero-trust security principles.
As Chief Architect on a $108M+ modernization program spanning twelve Georgia state agencies at Unisys, Kendrick designed AWS and Azure GovCloud architectures, established enterprise architecture review board governance, and built the repeatable blueprints and IaC standards that accelerated transformation across the state's entire technology portfolio.
Earlier in his career, Kendrick spent nine years at IBM as a Senior Solutions Architect and AWS Lead, where he led the $52M+ Ally Financial international divestiture program across 18 countries and 41 sites, and served as Cloud Architect for Kaiser Permanente — one of the nation's largest healthcare systems.
Kendrick holds an Executive MBA with a Management of Technology focus from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University, and served seven years as a Telecommunications Maintainer in the United States Army. He holds AWS Solutions Architect certifications and is credentialed across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud platforms.
